A lifelong Northeasterner until recently, Lori holds a B.A. from Cornell and a Masters in Visual Anthropology from Temple. After a memorable summer working for film producer Joseph E. Levine, Lori worked two years in print media, then as writer/associate producer on five 16 mm edu/documentary films for National Geographic … then studied fiction writing and wrote a collection of short stories and drafted a novel, Topping the Willow. In 2013, Lori ventured into screenwriting and was inspired to rewrite Topping the Willow as a feature screenplay and Young Adult novel.

Many bends in the road later, the script and now-published novel have garnered ten contest recognitions between them, as well as a professional story analyst’s RECOMMEND. Lori is in a Producers Mentorship with Alexandra Boylan (The Boylan Sisters) and Jaclyn Whitt (co-founder of the Faith & Family Filmmakers Association), and seeking a producer or co-producer for the screenplay, now retitled BREAKING JOY. In 2021, Lori moved with her retired pastor husband to coastal North Carolina. Besides her beloved family and more wonderful friends than she deserves, Lori loves reading, movies, horses, wooden boats, the Thousand Islands, iced coffee, chocolate, and anything with eggplant.
